Daniel got here on Sunday after driving all through the night. We were all very happy and so excited to see him. Even Kiley kept on grinning and reaching for him. We thought that maybe she was too young to remember after 4 weeks without him, but we were wrong!
It kinda feels weird that Cailin goes to school while we all get to be with Daniel, and sometimes I feel bad, like she's missing out. But she really likes school and is happy to go every day, although getting up at six has started to wear her out more.(AND me too) The good thing is that I wake everyone up at six, that way everyone is ready for bed earlier. "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." At least that is what I grew up hearing.
Daniel and I have started to work with these little two year old fillies we got as yearlings. I named mine Lightning because she has a pretty, skinny blaze down her face. She is also a little spirited thus fitting the name well. Daniel keeps reminding me that I could've had a nice, gentle horse, but just had to have the one with the blaze! I don't know, my horse as a kid was named Stormy and for good reason too. I guess I must just be drawn to them. She's going to be a great horse, but will need more time. Daniel does admit that of all our horses she is the best looking one as far as color and confirmation. She is a lined back dun and I love her. My mom has been watching Kiley so I've had time to work with her and it feels so good to be back at it. It's almost like I am the old Summer before I had kids! Pictures coming soon!

We're so glad you have Daniel back! I bet it will be nice to have a couple of weeks to spend time with your family and work with your horses. I'm glad to hear Cailin is liking school. Is she going to Driggs? How far will school be away in Montana? Does Colten get to farm with Grandpa? We're excited to see pictures!
Glad you got your hubby back. Sounds like you are keeping busy. Someday we need to try and plan a roomie reunion.
