Most of the parks around here are pretty much the same, slides, swings, towers, etc. This park was different.

This scoop has a rope to pull it up and then you pour the rocks down a tube and it comes out on the other side. Maybe I'll get rich and design playgrounds that are not so much the same.

More Fun at the Pool

After last years episode with Colten in the pool in Alliance Nebraska he has not wanted much to do with swimming, even with his life jacket on. However, it is amazing what happens when you buy a few new fun pool toys. Cailin and Colten have both been holding their breath under water for a long time trying to get the dive sticks. Cailin was even swimming under water! I got this really funny picture of her jumping into the pool. Colten still likes to hold onto the side, but he's getting more confident with his kick board by himself in the shalllow end.

Cailin Turns Six!

I've really started getting into making fun cakes for the kids' Birthdays. That is a butterfly "Littlest Pet Shop" on the big flower. The picture doesn't do it justice though, I carefully made each flower with sprinkles! That's all I had.

Roseville Minnesota

We did make it to Minneapolis last Monday afternoon. We have already done a lot of fun things and are learning about all there is to do in the city. They have a free zoo, a pool, and lots of fun parks with small lakes (ponds) with sandy beachs. Today we hope to find a library. I'm kind of a list/ schedule kind of person so I'm hoping to make up a weekly schedule of what will do different days. Of course we have to go swimming just about every day... or so the kids insist! This is way different for me to be here. We're not in Montana any more... But it has been a lot of fun!
